Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Research & Target Profiling
Conduct deep research on standalone hotels, resorts, homestays, and villas across India.
Analyze property scale, pricing, digital presence, revenue indicators, OTA dependency, and online reputation.
Profile the right decision-makers (owners, directors, GMs) using digital tools, social platforms, and industry databases.
Build high-quality lead lists based on geography, property size, and business potential.
2. Outreach & Communication
Initiate communication via phone, email, WhatsApp, or LinkedIn.
Conduct high-impact discovery calls to understand property pain points in marketing, revenue, and operations.
Explain TeraStay’s tech-enabled growth model in a structured, consultative manner.
Set up and coordinate virtual meetings with the leadership team.
3. Virtual Meetings & Proposal Coordination
Join online meetings (Zoom/Google Meet) to present our offering and gather additional requirements.
Help in customizing proposals based on property size, challenges, and growth potential.
Ensure timely follow-ups and maintain warm engagement until closure.
4. Lead Nurturing & Content Support
Manage ongoing nurture cycles through:
Email marketing
WhatsApp drip messages
Sharing case studies, reports, and success stories
Coordinating content pieces with the marketing team
Track lead responses and adjust communication for maximum engagement.
5. CRM & Reporting
Update lead status, communication logs, and follow-up schedules in CRM/lead tracker.
Provide weekly reports on pipeline, conversions, challenges, and insights.
Share market intelligence to support strategy refinement.
Compensation: As per the industry standard + performance based incentive on deal closures.
Role Overview
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will play a pivotal role in TeraStay’s national expansion. This is a research-driven, insight-led, and communication-focused position. Instead of field travel, the role requires:
- Understanding standalone property challenges.
- Profiling target audiences (owners, GMs, decision-makers),
- Conducting structured lead research
- Initiating outreach, scheduling and conducting virtual meetings
Nurturing leads through content, email marketing, and proposal communication.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication skills (English + any 1 regional language Mandatory)
- Strong communication skills (English mandatory; Hindi preferred).
- Excellent research and data-gathering skills.
- Ability to understand hospitality business dynamics—especially digital marketing, branding, and OTA ecosystems.
- Confident in explaining tech-driven solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage virtual meetings professionally
- Organized, process-driven, and consistent in follow-ups.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related fields.
- 2–3 years experience in business development, inside sales, research, or digital marketing roles.
- Experience in hospitality, SaaS, or marketing agencies is an added advantage
Certification in Digital Marketing or experience in handling ERP/CRM or sales system implmentation is a plus.

- Quality of lead research and accuracy of target profiling.
- Number of qualified virtual meetings booked.
- Conversion rate from outreach → meeting → proposal → partnership.
- Effectiveness of nurture communication and follow-up discipline.
- Contribution to TeraStay’s expansion across new states.
