Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined Web Developer Intern to join our development team. This internship is designed for aspiring developers who want to gain hands-on experience in building and maintaining websites using WordPress, Shopify, and other e-commerce platforms. You will work closely with our senior developers and project managers to create responsive, high-performance websites for Thumb360 and its clients.

This is a full-time, in-office internship with a 6-day work week. It offers strong mentorship, exposure to real-world projects, and a clear path to a full-time role for high-performing candidates.

Responsibilities

  • • Assist in building, customizing, and maintaining websites on WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, etc.
  • • Help set up and configure e-commerce functionalities (product catalogs, payment gateways, shipping, etc.) for online stores.
  • • Customize themes and plugins to match design specifications and client requirements.
  • • Perform website updates, content entry, and quality assurance testing across browsers and devices.
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve basic website issues (performance, broken links, plugin conflicts, etc.).
  • • Collaborate with the design and content teams to ensure seamless implementation of visual assets and copy.
  • • Document development processes and maintain version control as per team guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
  • • Basic knowledge of WordPress (themes, plugins, page builders like Elementor or WPBakery).
  • • Familiarity with Shopify (theme customization, app integration, basic Liquid syntax).
  • • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and foundational JavaScript.
  • • Ability to follow technical requirements and work with guidance from senior developers.
  • • Eagerness to learn, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail.
  • • Comfortable working from office 6 days a week.

Good to Have (Added Advantage)

  • • Experience with other e-commerce platforms (WooCommerce, Magento, etc.).
  • • Basic knowledge of PHP, MySQL, or Liquid.
  • • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • • Understanding of responsive design principles and website performance optimization.
  • • Previous internship or freelance web development experience.
